My personal interest in this church is the landscape. Of the forty acres owned by the Kirk, nine acres are dedicated to beautiful flowering gardens, natural landscape, and a Columbarium. I take a personal interest in the manicured garden landscape because my aunt is hired to maintain the gardens. A simple leisurely walk through the gardens and courtyards behind the church is medication I think every work-aholic should be prescribed.
This horticultural extravaganza always reminds me to stop and smell the flowers.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw Kirk in the Hills, I knew I had to comment. My boyfriend's sister's wedding ceremony was held there, and, as you can probably imagine, it was gorgeous. I stood around awkwardly while the wedding party was photographed on the grounds and give props to your aunt (and the rest of grounds maintenance) for maintaining such a beautiful space.
